Toei Animation is planning to soft launch a new global One Piece English-language YouTube channel. The channel will be an online destination English-speaking fans around the world and their source for official news, information and special video content for the hit franchise.
Fans can subscribe to the official One Piece English language YouTube channel starting in June. The Japanese-language official channel has 2.63 million subscribers.
Toei Animation is planning to soft launch a new global One Piece English-language YouTube channel. The channel will be an online destination English-speaking fans around the world and their source for official news, information and special video content for the hit franchise.
The new YouTube channel soft launch is timed with the start of a week-long One Piece activation on the Exosphere, the exterior of Sphere in Las Vegas, takin place June 10 – 16. This will be the largest ever One Piece display, with the venue — the largest spherical structure in the world — measuring 366 ft (112 m) tall and 516 ft (157 m) wide. The activation consists of a 90-second-long anime created especially for the Exosphere.
The week-long One Piece residency includes a four-hour-long “takeover” on Tuesday, June 11 between 7 – 11 p.m. PT, during which time the activation will be featured.
Now 25 years since the premiere of the original episodic anime series created by Eiichiro Oda and produced by Toei Animation, One Piece has taken its place as part of mainstream pop culture, attracting fans of all ages.
Today, together with its first ever live-action series launched on Netflix in 2023, the franchise now spans 15 feature films, numerous video games, a trading card game and an ever-expanding catalog of licensed merchandise, including apparel, footwear, accessories, toys & games, sporting goods, gifts & novelties, household goods, food & beverage, location-based entertainment and more.
