‘Suicide Squad ISEKAI’ Sets Hulu Premiere for June 27

The high-octane anime spin on DC’s famous rogues, Suicide Squad ISEKAI is coming to streaming platform Hulu with the just-announced premiere date of June 27. The series is produced by Warner Bros. Japan with animation by WIT Studio (Attack on Titan, Spy x Family, Vinland Saga Season 1).

Fans can catch Harley Quinn, the Joker and the gang on the following Thursday release schedule across 10 episodes:

  • Episodes 1-3 — June 27
  • Episodes 4 — July 4
  • Episodes 5 — July 11
  • Episodes 6 — July 18
  • Episodes 7 — July 25
  • Episodes 8 — August 1
  • Episodes 9 — August 8
  • Episodes 10 — August 15

Synopsis: In the crime-ridden Gotham city, Amanda Waller, the head of A.R.G.U.S., has assembled a group of notorious criminals for a mission: Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface and King Shark. These DC Super-Villains are sent into an otherworldly realm that’s connected to this world through a gate. It’s a world of swords and magic where orcs rampage and dragons rule the skies— an “ISEKAI”!

Harley and others go on a rampage after arriving in ISEKAI but are captured by the Kingdom’s soldiers and sent to prison. They only have 72 hours before the bomb on their neck explodes. The deadline is fast approaching. After negotiations with Queen Aldora, the condition for liberation was the conquest of the hostile Imperial army.  They have no choice but to throw themselves head-first into the front line of battle.

They run; they die. They lose; they die. With their lives on the line, can Harley Quinn and The Suicide Squad survive in ISEKAI?

Brace yourselves for the pulse-pounding saga of the elite task force known as the “Suicide Squad” as they embark on a jaw-dropping adventure! Let the party begin!

Leading the voice cast as the Suicide Squad are Anna Nagase (Harley Quinn), Yuuichirou Umehara (Joker), Reigo Yamaguchi (Deadshot), Takehito Koyasu (Peacemaker), Jun Fukuyama (Clayface/Cecil) and Subaru Kumra (King Shark). Additional characters from Gotham and the Isekai world are played by Taku Yashiro (Rick Flag), Chika Anzai (Katana), Kujira (Amanda Waller), Reina Ueda (Fione) and Mamiko Noto (Aldora).

The series is directed by Eri Osada from a screenplay by Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara, and features character designs by Naoto Hosoda, drafted by Akira Amano. The show’s opening song is “Another World” by Tomoyasu Hotei; ending song is “Go-Getters” by VTuber Mori Calliope; original music by Kenichiro Suehiro.
