Anime-Inspired ‘INfiNiXANiUM’ Series to Showcase Serbian Animation Talent

An up-and-coming studio in the heart of Belgrade is working to bring French artist Marc Beauvieux’s ambitious animated vision to life, tapping local talent to create the 2D anime-inspired saga INfiNiXANiUM to screens. Introduced at the recent Annecy Festival, the project is being developed and produced at BVX Innovation & Production, co-founded by Beauvieux and his parents in 2022, with a team recruited from Serbian art programs.

INfiNiXANiUM is inspired by recurring dreams Beauvieux has had since his childhood and memories of life in Moscow, where he was born in 1999. The story unfolds in a dystopian cylinder serving as a habitat for a multitude of living beings, where the characters navigate through 15 different worlds, each filled with challenges and mysteries. At the story’s core is a mysterious force, brimming with immense energy that causes much misfortune but is coveted by all. The series tracks the journey of three heroes; children who grow and evolve through perilous adventures across decaying dystopian landscapes. Throughout their journey, they face armies, monsters and various trials that shape their destiny, while formidable guardians strive to stop them.

“Each level, each world in INfiNiXANiUM reflects the visions that have accompanied me since my childhood,” Marc Beauvieux  explains. “It is a journey through which I aim not only to tell a story but also to provoke thought about fate and the truth hidden behind appearances.”

Studio co-founder Jean-Marc Beauvieux, Marc’s father, adds, “By supporting Marc in creating BVXI&P and developing INfiNiXANiUM, we’re not just making his dream a reality — we are building a legacy that, we hope, will inspire creativity and passion in a whole new generation and what they will pass on.”

The first year of production will be carried out with 25 workstations at BVXI&P, with a rotation of 40 employees tailored to the demands of different production phases. The studio plans to expand operations in accordance with the pace of production and number of episodes completed. The complete story arc is envisioned as 10 seasons of 13-episode arcs.
