‘Bound’ by Pixar Animator Masha Ellsworth to Premiere in BIAF Shorts Selection

The Bucheon International Animation Festival (BIAF | biaf.co.kr) has announced 63 titles selected for its shorts competition (44 short films, 11 graduation films. eight TV & commissioned films), chosen by the BIAF selection committee out of 2,752 submissions. The 2024 festival will be held October 25-29 in Bucheon, South Korea.

The selections includes Bound, by Pixar animator Masha Ellsworth (character TD on Brave, Coco & Cars 3), which will have its world premiere screening at Bucheon. Her previous film, Little t, screened at BIAF last year.  Bound takes place in a picturesque Ukrainian village, where 20-somethings Galya and Ivanko meet by chance when Ivanko’s rake catches a thread on Galya’s apron. This encounter sparks a connection, but misunderstandings and missed opportunities ensue.
