TMS Entertainment announces that the highly anticipated third season of the animated series Bananya, titled Bananya Around the World will premiere on Crunchyroll in October 2024.
To commemorate this announcement, a brand new visual revealing the newest characters has been release:! Joining the bunch will be a smaller bananya named “Baby Sweet” and a mean-eyed “Manul,” among many others. You can see the a-peeling new additions in the S3 trailer below.
“I’m excited to see the tiny ‘Baby Sweet’ and the big ‘Manul’ expand the mischievous and adorable world of Bananya even more,” said Masami Tokunaga, Senior Vice President of TMS Entertainment USA. “From one Bananya lover to another, I hope you all enjoy the new world!”
Synopsis: A mysterious kitten who hides in a banana, Bananya lives on a certain planet in the universe. One day, a ball of light approaches Bananya … With a flash of light, Baby Sweet appears! They quickly become good friends and set out on a great adventure that takes them all over the world.
The main cast has also been confirmed: Yuki Kaji will be continuing his role as Bananya as well as voicing a number of new characters, including Manul. Ayumu Murase will also return as the voice of both old and new bananya characters, including Baby Sweet.

The time has come again for me to take on the challenge as a voice actor and bring this adorable world and its creatures to life! I’ll show you the power of a voice actor approaching their 40s!

Based on the popular character created by Q-LiA, the Bananya anime debuted in 2016, followed by the second season, Bananya and the Curious Bunch, in 2019. Season 3 is produced by Bananya Lovers, with animation by TMS Ent.’s Studio 6 and Lesprit. Kyo Yatate is animation director and character designer, Masahiro Takata handles series composition as well as screenplay duties (alongside Sei Yoshitsuki).
