Co-Founder Ken Anderson Departs Wild Child Animation

After five years helping to build Wild Child Animation, the studio’s co-founder and Director of Exploration & Discovery, Ken Anderson, will be stepping down from his role within the company to focus on heading up TG Entertainment Limited, the brand rights and production company managing the international multi-award-winning bestseller book and TV series Tom Gates. In addition, Anderson will continue to pursue two of his passions: helping talented leaders within emerging creative industries companies to develop and grow, and producing short and feature-length animated films.

“I am delighted to be leaving Wild Child in the hands of such an incredibly talented leadership, as well as an amazing team of animators, artists, technologists and creative producers, who have established Wild Child’s hugely well deserved reputation for excellence, over what has been an extraordinarily challenging period of time,” said Anderson. “I’d like to thank everyone who has worked with Wild Child since its founding: my fellow co-founders; the staff and freelancers and of course my fellow producers, broadcasters and financiers who have put their faith in Wild Child, to deliver their programs to the highest standards of creative and technical excellence  I have no doubt that I will be working with you all again very soon. In the meantime I wish you the very best for all of the projects that are ongoing and those that are still to come!”

Sueann Rochester, Managing Director of Wild Child Animation, expressed gratitude for Anderson’s contribution during his time with the company. “Ken played a significant role in this early stage of Wild Child Animation, and we wish him the very best as he embarks on his new journey with TG Entertainment,” said Rochester. “While change is a natural part of any business, Wild Child remains fully committed to our clients and our ongoing projects. Our talented team continues to deliver the high-quality work that our partners have come to expect, and we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.”

Based in Stirling, Scotland, Wild Child Animation produces 2D and 3D animation for television and film, with a focus on a collaborative, client-focused approach to each project’s creative vision.

The studio’s credits include the animated series The Brilliant World of Tom Gates (three seasons and two specials | TG Entertainment / Sky Kids), Hushabye Lullabye (two seasons | Maramedia / CBeebies), Toad & Friends (52 x 11′ | Hoho Entertainment / WarnerMedia) and Piripenguins (in production; 52 x 11′ | Eaglet Films / BBC / Red Monk / RAI), as well as animation for Jaime’s Yoga Adventures (in production; 40 x 11′ | Cosmic Kids / Zodiak Kids / Sky Kids) and Jono MacLeod’s documentary feature My Old School (Hopscotch Films)
