Netflix Dates ‘The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep’ Animated Movie Debut with Exclusive Clip

At today’s Geeked Week presentation, Netflix released an exclusive clip from The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, with an introduction from Doug Cockle (the voice of Geralt of Rivia) announcing that the animated film will launch on February 11, 2025. The anime epic inspired by the fantasy world of author Andrzej Sapkowski is animated by South Korea’s Studio Mir, which previously delivered Netflix’s animated 2021 spinoff The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.

Synopsis: Geralt of Rivia, a mutated monster hunter, is hired to investigate a series of attacks in a seaside village and finds himself drawn into a centuries-old conflict between humans and merpeople. He must count on friends — old and new — to solve the mystery before the hostilities between the two kingdoms escalate into all-out war.

Cockle, who voices Geralt in the English-language versions of the hit The Witcher video games, stars alongside Joey Batey, reprising his role as Jaskier from the Netflix live-action series The Witcher and The Witcher: Blood Origin.

Sirens of the Deep is directed by Kang Hei Chul (episode director, Lookism; storyboard artist, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf;storyboard artist/key animator, The Death of Superman; animation director, Teen Titans GO! to the Movies) and written by The Witcher alums Mike Ostrowski and Rae Benjamin. The Witcher writer/executive producer/showrunner Lauren Schmidt-Hissrich is the film’s producer. Exec producers are Ostrowski, Tomek Bagiński & Jarosław Sawko for Platige, Jason F Brown & Sean Daniel for Hivemind.
