Disney+ Teases Animated ‘Eyes of Wakanda,’ ‘Marvel Zombies’ & More in New “Look Ahead” Clips

To celebrate the finale of Marvel Television’s Agatha All Along, Disney+ unveiled a new “Look Ahead” teaser that reveals upcoming 2024-2025 Marvel Studios’ titles set to launch exclusively on the streamer in the months ahead. The lineup includes highly anticipated animated titles, including:

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man joins Marvel Animation’s lineup on January 29, 2025.Formerly titled Spider-Man: Freshman Year, the series comes to life with comic-book illustration-inspired CG animation. Creator Jeff Trammell (supervising producer/writer, Craig of the Creek) and voice stars Hudson Thames (Peter Parker) and Colman Domingo (Peter’s suspicious overseer, Norman Osborn) confirmed at D23 that the show will feature appearances by Doctor Octopus, Doctor Conners and  Doctor Strange, as well as the Symbiote and Nico Minoru.

 

Eyes of Wakanda

Eyes of Wakanda (Marvel Animation), launching on August 6, 2025. The four-part Black Panther mini-series, animated in stylized CG, will explore Wakandan history through tales of the brave warriors who traveled the world to collect vibranium artifacts.

 

Marvel Zombies

Marvel Zombies (Marvel Animation) will arrive timed to Halloween in October 2025. With flesh-crawling cel-shaded CG, the four-part mini-series takes place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, where even Marvel heroes (and villains) are not safe from the zombie plague. D23 previewed a quick look at the show, which spotlighted Shang-Chi and his allies confronting a horde of undead. The series is created by comic-book writer and SuperMansion co-creator Zeb Wells.

 

What If?...

And of course, Marvel Animation’s What If?… will return for a third and final season, debuting new episodes daily on Disney+ starting December 22, 2024. S3 of the speculative animated series will feature the return of Oscar Isaac as Moon Knight as well as appearances from Ironheart and White Vision. Episodes will see Nebula joining the Nova Corps, Captain America leading a team of mech pilots in a battle against Gamma Monsters, and Happy Hogan saving Christmas.

 

The teaser also showcases hyped live-action series sure to be VFX showstoppers:

  • Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine, the highest grossing R-rated movie of all time, comes to the small screen on November 12.
  • Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again original series launches on March 4, 2025.
  • Ironheart, an original series from Marvel Television, debuts on June 24, 2025.
  • Marvel Television’s Wonder Man original series is poised to release in December 2025.
