‘Hitpig!’ Takes Flight in New Film Clip

Pickles the elephant shows our porcine anti-hero how to really live it up (very, very high up) in a newly released clip from Hitpig!, in theaters nationwide on November 1.

Based on the Pete & Pickles book by celebrated cartoonist Berkeley Breathed, the CG-animated movie is produced by Aniventure and animated by Cinesite, following their collaboration on Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank. Viva Pictures is distributing the pic in the U.S.

Synopsis: Hitpig (voiced by Jason Sudeikis) is a clever bounty-hunting pig who catches escaped animals and returns them to their owners. His next job is his biggest yet: return a dancing elephant named Pickles (Lilly Singh) to a maniacal Vegas showman (Rainn Wilson), for a million bucks. The mission quickly escalates into a wild adventure around the world. When danger looms, it is up to Hitpig to save the day but he can’t do it alone. He must realize that some things are more important than a paycheck and finds the greatest bounty of all, friends.

The voice cast also features RuPaul (Polecat), Hannah Gadsby (Lola the Koala), Anitta (Letícia Dos Anjos), Flavor Flav (Host of “King Chef for the Day”), Lorraine Ashbourne (Big Bertha the Bounty Hunter), Andy Serkis (Newscaster), Charlie Adler (Super Rooster, Nuke Techs, Lobster), Shelby Young (Catchvan Voice), Dave Rosenbaum (Janitor), Isabella Summers (Opera Diva) and Dennis Leonard (Fluffy).

The film is directed by David Feiss (creator of Cow and Chicken) and Cinzia Angelini (director and producer of award-winning short Mila) from a screenplay by Dave Rosenbaum & Tyler Werrin (Riverdance: The Animated Adventure), and features music by Isabella Summers (Florence & the Machine). Producers are Adam Nagle, Peter Nagle and Dave Rosenbaum.

You can read more about the making of Hitpig! in the December issue of Animation Magazine, available at the end of this month.
