Netflix’s ‘That Christmas’ Ushers in the Holidays with Official Trailer

December will kick off on Netflix in a flurry of animated holiday magic, when the new CG movie That Christmas premieres on December 4. The streamer today debuted the official trailer and a stocking’s worth of early look images from the project, which is based on the children’s books by BAFTA-winning, Oscar-nominated filmmaker Richard Curtis (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Love Actually).

Produced by London-based Locksmith Animation (Ron’s Gone Wrong), the heartwarming family film marks the feature directorial debut of VES Award winner and Children’s & Family Emmy nominee Simon Otto, head of character animation on the How to Train Your Dragon trilogy, supervising director of A Tale Dark & Grimm and director of the Love, Death + Robots episode “The Tall Grass.”
