Eaglet Films announced today that PBS Distribution has acquired the North American distribution rights to Eaglet Films’ brand new kids 2D/CG-animated comedy series Piripenguins, about a lively group of penguin friends who have fun living together on an iceberg.
Piripenguins (52 x 11’) is produced by Eaglet Films, whose credits include Quentin Blake’s Box of Treasures, together with Red Monk Studio (Italy) and in partnership with Wild Child Animation (Scotland), and has been commissioned by BBC and RAI, alongside support from the UK Global Screen Fund — financed by the U.K. Government’s Department for Culture, Media and Sport and administered by the BFI.
Piripenguins is a new children’s animated series about a cheerful colony of penguins enjoying life to the fullest on a fun-filled iceberg. The comedy series is aimed at five- to eight-year olds and centers on five lively penguins, each with distinctive personalities and voiced by a diverse cast. Life on the iceberg throws up lots of challenges and funny situations for Pancake, Nugget, Brinicle, Looph and Flutter who learn about life, friendships and have lots of fun along the way.
