Gregory Little, SVP Content, Departs Mainframe Studios

Mainframe Studios President Michael Hefferon today announced that Gregory Little, the company’s Los Angeles-based Senior Vice President, Content, has left the company as a full-time employee as of November 15, 2024.

Little will continue to work with Mainframe as an executive producer on the slate of projects he initiated at the company, along with new opportunities they may pursue together.

“Greg has made critical contributions to Mainframe’s creativity and growth in his years here. He is universally liked and respected and we are very sorry to see him go,” said Hefferon. “Mainframe definitely looks forward to future opportunities to work together.”

Beyond Mainframe, Little will expand his scope into consulting and producing, working with new partners on creative and business development.

A 20-year veteran of animation development and production in both features and television, Little joined Mainframe in 2016 to lead the company’s creative development efforts under Hefferon and contribute to content strategy and business development at the studio.

While at Mainframe, Little developed and executive produced the YouTube original series The Guava Juice Show, the 26 x 11′ series that enabled Mainframe to break into 2D animation production and led to four more shows set up with YouTube. He also served as an executive producer for preschool series Team Zenko Go with DreamWorks Television and Netflix.

On the business development front, Little initiated relationships that were instrumental in the growth of the company and expansion of its creative capabilities. He represented the studio at worldwide markets and was involved in content-related dealmaking.

“I’m proud of the great creative work we did together at Mainframe and look forward to bringing my experience and relationships to new opportunities in a business that’s changing rapidly,” Little remarked.

Prior to Mainframe, from 2010-2014 Little served as Executive Producer and Head of the U.S. operations of Dublin-based BAFTA Award-winning studio Brown Bag Films, one of the world’s most successful producers of family entertainment. Before this, he was VP of Development for The Gotham Group, charged with oversight of the group’s first-look deal with Sony Pictures Animation for animated and hybrid feature films.

At a prior stint with Mainframe — then called Rainmaker Entertainment — Little developed and executive produced the company’s first theatrical animated feature, Escape From Planet Earth. He is also credited for producing DVD titles such as The Nutty Professor: Face the Fear and Tony Hawk in Boom-Boom Sabotage.
