First Look: ‘Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight’ Brings the Brawlin’ Gauls to Netflix This Spring

Netflix today unveiled the official teaser trailer and new images from its highly anticipated animated series Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight, based on the classic comics created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. The CG animated series from France’s TAT Productions (The Jungle Bunch, Terra Willy, Pil) is set to enter the streaming ring in Spring 2025.

Synopsis: Rome is desperate to conquer the last independent village in Gaul and the home of Asterix and Obelix. The secret to the Gauls’ battle superiority is a magic potion, but when the potion master loses his memory, the villagers are left to their own devices against the might of Rome.

The new series is created by Alain Chabat (Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra). Chabat also serves as series co-director alongside veteran animator Fabrice Joubert, director of the Oscar-nominated animated short French Roast, and adaptation/dialog writer with Benoît Oullion and Piano.

Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight is produced by Alain Goldman in collaboration with publisher Les Éditions Albert René, with animation by TAT.
