HIDIVE Summons ‘Yandere Dark Elf’ to Screens, Announces Territory Expansions

A slice of high fantasy comes to Earth this spring on AMC Networks’ HIDIVE, which will exclusively stream the new reverse isekai rom-com Yandere Dark Elf (full title: Yandere Dark Elf: She Chased Me All the Way From Another World!). The news follows AMC Networks’ recent announcement that it will be expanding the distribution of HIDIVE across several key international markets and CTV partners.

Based on the popular manga series created by Nakanosora, Yandere Dark Elf will premiere on April 6 as part of HIDIVE’s Spring 2025 simulcast line-up. The official English subtitled trailer for the show has also been revealed.

“We’re excited to add Yandere Dark Elf to HIDIVE’s slate of exclusive simulcasts streaming this spring,” said John Ledford, President of HIDIVE. “Yandere Dark Elf brings the fantasy world to Earth in a unique isekai series that offers all the laughs and love of a rom-com. Fans of isekai — both new and old — will not want to miss it!”

Synopsis: Hinata did it. He got reincarnated into another world, took up the mantle of Hero, and slew the dreaded Demon Lord alongside his party of fellow adventurers. As his reward, he’s returned to Earth to resume a normal life. Or it would be if it wasn’t for the fact that his dark elf companion Mariabelle decided to travel to Earth to come and live with him! Now she uses her arcane talents to ward off any potential romantic rivals and capture Hinata’s affection.

Written and illustrated by Nakanosora, Yandere Dark Elf is serialized in Takeshobo’s Web Comic Gamma Plus and now spans four volumes since its launch in September 2021. The English language version of manga series is published by Seven Seas Entertainment.

The new anime series is directed by Toshikatsu Tokoro, written by Yuki Takabayashi and animated by Elias — the same team behind the fan-favorite ecchi comedy Plus-Sized Elf. Yandere Dark Elf stars Minami Takahashi as Mariabelle, Rie Kawamura as Hinata Sunohara, Kyoka Maruyama as Sakura Mochida, Ayumi Mano as Mei and Hinako Takahashi as Cecile.

The recently launched HIDIVE expansion sees the anime-focused platform launch on Prime Video Channels as a monthly ad-free add-on subscription in the United Kingdom ($4.99 GBP), Canada ($8.99 CAD), Australia ($8.99 AUD) and New Zealand ($8.99 NZD).

Also available in each of these markets via the HIDIVE direct to consumer app, the company has additionally expanded its distribution in the United States, bringing the HIDIVE app to several CTV partners including Samsung, LG and VIZIO. Subscribers across these platforms and international markets can now enjoy HIDIVE’s diverse library of anime series and films — from top trending and classic titles to first-run simulcasts, including Oshi no KoI Parry Everything! The Eminence in Shadow, Ragna CrimsonFarming Life in Another World and The Dangers in My Heart.

HIDIVE offers content with English-language subtitles and audio dubs, across both series and movies. In addition to its library of titles, HIDIVE subscribers have exclusive access to first-run simulcasts of new anime at or near the same time as their Japanese broadcast each season.
