A second trailer, the ending theme song and additional casting information has been revealed for Your Forma, a new cyberpunk anime series from REMOW and animation house Geno Studio. The first three episodes of the series were premiered at Kawaii Kon in Hawaii this weekend.
In a world where people’s memories are recorded through an implanted device called the “Your Forma,” genius investigator Echika and her android assistant Harold must work together to solve criminal cases. Based on the Dengeki Novel Grand Prize-winning light novel of the same name, the new anime adaptation dives right into the novel’s most shocking case, and examines what it really means to be human.
The main cast will feature the returning voices from the 2021 Your Forma novel promotional video: Kana Hanazawa as Echika and Kensho Ono as Harold.
Today, the ending theme song has been officially announced as “Neo-Luddite” by singer-actress 9Lana, dubbed the “chameleon voice” for her ability to perform a variety of characters through song due to her masterful vocal control. The song is featured in the new trailer just released.
The opening song, “Gridout,” is performend by yama.
The second preview also highlights the humanoid robot Harold, played by Ono. It delves into the complex emotions between Harold and his partner, the genius investigator Echika (Hanazawa), and the mysterious past of Sozon A. Chernov, Harold’s former partner, played by Jun Fukuyama. New characters voiced by Koichi Yamadera (Kuprian Valentinovich Napolov), Tomokazu Sugita (Kazimir Matinovich) and Hisako Tojo (Raissa Germaine Robin).
Synopsis: In 1992, a pandemic of viral encephalitis shook the world. The medical technology that saved humanity evolved into “Your Forma” — an invasive information device implanted into the brain. In this world where every sight, sound, and even emotion is recorded, investigating major crimes means diving into the collective data, a job reserved for special detectives called “Electronic Investigator.”
Echika Hieda, a prodigious Electronic Investigator assigned at an astonishingly young age, stands isolated by her exceptional talent. Her newly assigned partner is Harold, a blonde, blue-eyed humanoid “Amicus.” Together, this unrivaled duo will expose every hidden secret.
The voice cast also includes Nao Toyama as Bigga, Aya Endo as Ui Totoki, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Ivan Lukich Fokine, Ayaka Nanase as Darya Romanovna Chernova, Chiwa Saito as Lexie Willow Carter and Yuu Hayashi as Benno Kleemann.
Your Forma is based on the original novels by Mareho Kikuishi, illustrated by Tsubata Nozaki and published by Dengeki Bunko/Kadokawa. The anime series is directed by Takaharu Ozaki (Goblin Slayer, Wave!! Surfing Yappe!!) with series composition and script by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, character design by Chikashi Kadekaru and music by Tatsuya Kato.
