BAFTA TV award-winning actress and writer Daisy May Cooper (Am I Being Unreasonable?, This Country) and Ruby Barker (Bridgerton, Bag Head) have joined the English-language voice cast of the highly anticipated animated series Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight, created by Alain Chabat, which debuts on Netflix on Wednesday, April 30.
Barker voices a young Roman girl named Metadata, while Cooper plays the scrappy Gaul gal Impedimenta.

Directors Alain Chabat (Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra) and Fabrice Joubert (Oscar-nominated short French Roast) bring comics creators René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo’s beloved vision of ancient Gaul back to the screen in this new animated comedy-adventure series.
Synopsis: Rome is desperate to conquer the last independent village in Gaul and the home of Asterix and Obelix. The secret to the Gauls’ battle superiority is a magic potion, but when the potion master loses his memory, the villagers are left to their own devices against the might of Rome.
The series is adapted from the original works of Goscinny and Uderzo (rights acquired from Les Éditions Albert René) by habat, Benoît Oullion and Pierre-Alain Bloch (a.k.a. Piano). Alain Goldman is producer. The animation is by prolific French studio TAT Productions.
