Ecoprod, CineRegio & Partners Seek Input for ‘Green Animation Guide’

To promote green practices in the animation industry, Ecoprod, CineRegio (the European network of regional film funds) and Green Film have formed a collective group dedicated to promoting green practices in the animation industry. The group’s primary objective is to develop a Green Animation Guide for international use, with the aim of progressing towards an international certification system.

Developed collaboratively with Cine Regio and several of their members, including ALCA (Book, Audiovisual and Cinema Agency in Nouvelle-Aquitaine), Catalonia Film Commission – ICEC, EC1 Lodz Film Commission, Film London, Screen Scotland, Trentino Film Commission & Fund and Viken Filmsenter, this initiative reflects a collective effort to promote environmentally sustainable practices across borders.

Members of the international animation industry are invited to fill out a new survey designed to collect the opinions and experiences of animation professionals, determine benchmarks for existing best practices and identify professionals interested in becoming more involved in the development of the Green Animation Guide.

The survey is available here.
