Kristen Wiig and Gloria Estefan are the latest stars to check in to DreamWorks’ fall release, Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie. Margie Cohn, DreamWorks Animation president, made the announcement on Wednesday afternoon at Universal’s CinemaCon 2025 presentation in Las Vegas.

The movie, which is directed by Ryan Crego (Arlo the Alligator Boy, Sanjay and Craig), is a live-action/animation hybrid which finds Gabby (Laila Lockhart Kraner) embarking on a road trip with her Grandma Gigi (played by Estefan) to the urban wonderland of Cat Francisco. When Gabby’s dollhouse ends up in the hands of the eccentric Vera, the cat lady (Wiig), Gabby has to get the Gabby Cats back in the real world. The script is penned by Melanie Wilson LaBracio and Adam Wilson.

The Gabby’s Dollhouse cast also includes Logan Bailey, Eduardo Franco, Juliet Donenfeld, Donovan Patton, Sainty Nelson, Maggie Lowe, Carla Tassara, Tara Strong and Secunda Wood.

“She’s big and she’s about to get much bigger, which is to say that our girl is primed and ready for her theatrical debut,” Cohn said, referring to plans to bring the popular property to theme parks, live entertainment, gaming, interactive offerings and more. “This will be an all-new hybrid family adventure that is imaginative and interactive.”
