Scooby, Shaun the Sheep Race Home to Disc

Scooby-Doo is back with two classic DVD releases this week, while preschooler favorite Shaun the Sheep brings his entire first season of adventures home.

Mystery fans will be hard-pressed to pass up Scooby-Doo: Where Are You! Vol. 4 (Warner Bros., $14.97), featuring more classic whodunit adventures, while those who like their funny bone tickled have Scooby’s All Star Laff-A-Lympics: Vol. 2 (Warner Bros., $14.97) to look forward to.

Shaun the Sheep: Season 1 (HIT Entertainment, $29.98) brings home a big chunk of the charming preschooler show in one set. In a similar vein, the gift set Thomas & Friends: Best Tales on the Tracks (HIT Entertainment, $29.98) also drops this week as does Balloonatiks: The Collector’s Set (Animagic, $14.95) and Madeline’s Christmas & Other Wintery Tales (Vivendi, $12.99).

Major anime releases include Naruto Shippuden: Box Set 4 (VIZ Media, $49.95 boxed-set DVD, $69.97 special edition DVD) and Full Metal Panic Fumoffu: Complete Collection (ADV, $39.98 DVD, $44.98 Blu-ray).

And while they aren’t strictly animation, we’re sure plenty of you out there will also be unable to resist Pee Wee’s Playhouse: The Complete Collection (Image, $39.98) or the 1970s classic The Bionic Woman: Season One (Universal, $39.98).
