Stig Gruman, VP of worldwide M&E sales at Audodesk Media and Entertainment died unexpectedly at the age of 51 on Nov. 23rd in Montreal.
The charismatic and well-liked Gruman had been with vfx and animation software company Autodesk for nearly 15 years. His responsibilities at the company included sales, product development, product management, customer service, support and operations.
“Stig was a great leader, a wonderful mentor and colleague to everyone who crossed his path. The employees of Autodesk send their deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues inside and outside of Autodesk,” Rama Dunayevich, senior public relations manager at Autodesk told The Hollywood Reporter.
Born in Montreal and raised in Rosemere, Gruman held a bachelor of commerce degree from McGill University. He is survived by his wife, Genny, two children, Sten-Erik and Niklas; and his parents, Peggy and Victor. Memorial services are planned for Thursday, Nov. 28 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Montreal’s Cote-des-Neiges Centre funeraire.
