In honor of NFL Draft Day, Nicktoons is presenting a one-hour animated special of NFL Rush Zone: Guardians Unleashed, “Knights of the Sky.” Premiering Wednesday, May 7 at 8:30 p.m. on the Nickelodeon outlet, the adventure finds Hero Ish and his friends joined at the NFL Draft by New York Jets’ Nick Mangold, Kansas City Chiefs’ Eric Fisher, Washington Redskins’ Robert Griffin III, NFL legend Michael Irvin and Cincinnati Bengals’ Cris Collinsworth to defend Earth and save the Rusherz and their home planet from devastation.
The special, which features the hulking heroes of the NFL voicing their animated alter egos, will have second launch on NFL Network on Saturday, May 17 at 8 a.m.
NFL Rush Zone: Guardians Unleashed is the 20-episode third installment of the Emmy-nominated series which follows Ishmael (Ish) and the Guardians on their quest to protect the NFL — and the world — from various villains. The series airs regularly Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. ET on Nicktoons and Saturdays at 8 a.m. ET on NFL Network.
