Comedy Central has offered a first glimpse at it’s upcoming mature-audiences animated comedy Moonbeam City, coming to the channel in 2015. The Patrick-Nagel-meets-TRON stylized show is a cop show spoof centered on Detective Dazzle Novak, who mostly thinks with the contents of his boxers, and his conflicts with Chief Pizzaz Miller, who wants him to do actual police work, and his rival Rad Cunningham.
The show, which got a 10-episode order at the beginning of the year, is created by Scott Gairdner (Conan), exec produced by Olive Bridge Ent.’s Will Gluck and Richard Schwartz, and produced by Rob Lowe, who also voices Dazzle. The voice cast also features Elizabeth Banks as Pizzaz, Will Forte as Rad, and Kate Mara from House of Cards as ambitious rookie Chrysalis Tate.
