Warner Bros. has moved up the release date for the Justice League lead-in Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice from May 6 to March 25 of 2016, taking it out of direct competition with Captain America 3. The hopefully-franchise-opening flick is being directed by Zack Snyder and stars Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill as the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel.
The March release will see BvS open against eco/sci-fi/action/space adventure Geostorm and the remake of comedy classic Beverly Hills Cop. Earlier releases in the month will include Tim Burton’s adaptation of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Disney Animation’s Zootopia, Universal’s take on popular MMORPG Warcraft and the penultimate Divergent entry, Allegiant: Part 1.
