Oznoz Bringing Multilingual Nelvana Toons Online

Online multilingual channel Oznoz has signed a deal with Canada’s Nelvana Enterprises that will bring 400 half-hours of programming from its acclaimed kids’ content library to U.S. customers in a range of languages. Parents will be able to sit their kids down with classic shows like Franklin and Babar and newer fare like Scaredy Squirrel, Ruby Gloom and Beyblade available in French, German, Korean Mandarin, Japanese, Arabic, Hindi and others.

Though not all shows will be available in all languages, the half-and-half revenue sharing agreement grows Oznoz’s kids’ programming options in the U.S. The VOD platform already has mutli-year agreements with Sesame Workshop and HIT Entertainment. The service is available for iOS and Android and allows users to purchase individual shows, or sometimes receive a ‘bulk’ discount on an entire season. Episode prices typically range from 99 cents to $1.99, with plenty of first episode freebies available to try out.
