U.K. digital service for preschoolers and parents OobEdoO has acquired three major titles to add to its growing roster of quality kids’ programming, including from BBC Worldwide, animated series Charlie & Lola season 3 (26 x 11). The company has also picked up live-action content in season 4 of BBCW’s Balamory (21 x 20) and two 50-minute specials plus six hand-picked episodes of HIT’s Barney & Friends. All three will become available this month.
The newcomers join established shows Bob the Builder, Pingu, Timmy Time, In the NIght Garden, Humf, Tractor Tom and Teletubbies alongside new episodes of Fireman Sam, Angelina Ballerina and Thomas & Friends. These latest additions mean parents and young children now have access to hundreds of episodes through OobEdoO’s SVOD service.
OobEdoO offers a distinctive combination of kid-friendly TV shows along with highly interactive educational games and a unique DigitalParenting Feedback System, allowing kids to interact with their favorite brands and characters in a safe, advertising free environment through tablet or smartphone. The DigitalParenting feature allows the child’s guardian to monitor the child’s progress, set parameters for them and lock the app so they cannot navigate away from the area the guardian has selected for them. Parents and guardians can also set up time restrictions to limit screen time.
