Netherlands animation, illustration, design and music studio Job, Joris & Marieke has announced that their newest short film, (Otto), will have its premiere during the upcoming 40th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival (Sept.10-20).
The 10-minute CG short centers on a little girl whose imaginary friend is kidnapped by a desperate childless woman. The film is animated by Joris Oprins, Marieke Blaauw and Rik Schutte, with modelling by Job Roggeveen, Oprins and Eric Smilde. The original music was performed by Roggeveen, Ben Mathot, Frank Wienk and Maarten Vos.

Earlier this year, the studio was honored with an Academy Award nomination for their short A Single Life, which has taken home 13 international film awards since its festival debut.
