Aardman Animations will be acquiring a majority share in New York-based animation company Nathan Love. The newly rebranded Aardman Nathan Love will be the Bristol-based company’s first permanent production facility outside the U.K., and strengthens its commitment to its advertising business.
Nathan Love was founded by Joe Burrascano in 2007, and has since become one of the best respected animation production houses in New York. The studio produces advertising for high-profile clients including Kellogg’s, Kraft, Pepsi, NBC Universal and Nickelodeon.
“Teaming up with an existing company gives us the opportunity to hit the ground running and a solid base from which to grow. This venture is not about sending work back to the UK. It’s about building a new business in New York for American agencies and we feel we can do this more effectively by being there,” says Aardman co-founder and executive chairman David Sproxton.
