North American fans will finally get to binge-watch the warmly received reboot of classic cartoon Danger Mouse, which arrives on Netflix at long last April 29 after premiering on CBBC in the U.K. last September. The 2D series is produced by FremantleMedia Kids & Family Ent. and CBBC, with animation by Ireland’s Boulder Media.
Danger Mouse follows the world’s greatest secret agent on his dashing, globe-spanning adventures as the small but heroic rodent battles a host of scheming villains in order to save the world from a seemingly endless series of near-disasters. The new series features all the classic characters (like hapless hamster sidekick Penfold), catchphrases and comedy that made it a cult hit in the ‘80s.
The voice cast features Alexander Armstrong as Danger Mouse, Kevin Eldon as Penfold, Stephen Fry as Colonel K, Ed Gaughan as Baron Silas von Greenback, Shauna Macdonald as Professor Squawkencluck and Dave Lamb narrating. Recurring characters are played by top talent including Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), John Oliver (Last Week Tonight) and Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd).
