SIGGRAPH 2017 — set for July 30 through August 3 in Los Angeles — has opened is call for submissions for the 44th conference. Scholars, innovators and creative practitioners in existing or emerging disciplines within computer graphics and interactive techniques are invited to share their expertise and unique technical and creative innovations.
The Oscar-qualifying Computer Animation Festival will make its online submission form available on January 23, and will accept entries until March 21.
Whether you’re a first-time attendee or have quite a few conferences under your belt, presenting at SIGGRAPH is a noteworthy career opportunity. The 2017 event programming will look to both the heart of CG and interactive techniques, as well as the future of the industry, with five days of research results, demos, educational sessions, art exhibitions, screenings and hands-on interactivity.
“My goal is for the attendees to have a wonderful experience that builds on the historic legacy of SIGGRAPH,” said Jerome Solomon, SIGGRAPH 2017 Conference Chair and Dean of the College at Cogswell College in San Jose. “There are so many really talented people in this industry and we cannot wait to show them off.”
