Superights has secured a worldwide (excluding China and Spain) distribution deal with China’s Left Pocket Studio and Spain’s Tomavision SL for their preschool series Emmy & Gooroo (52 x 11). Now in production, the universally appealing show is due for delivery this fall.
Emmy & Gooroo follows Emmy, a creative and resourceful five-year-old girl, and her best friend Gooroo, a big, furry, huggable creature. The inseparable duo carry out daily adventures in a magic forest, where they encounter wondrous things — like animals and plants that can talk, dance… end even cook!
The series concept won first prize at the MIP Junior International Pitch in 2014, as well as the International Kidscreen East Pitch-It event.
Left Pocket Studio produces original animation and provides full service work from its Shanghai, China headquarters. The company enjoys a long-running partnership with kids content developer/producer Tomavision in Barcelona, and is a partner of online video platform Youku Tudou.
