Guardians of the Galaxy and Star Trek and Avatar star Zoe Saldana is officially the latest top talent to join the voice cast of Hasbro’s My Little Pony: The Movie. The Allspark Pictures production is coming to theaters October 6, 2017 through Lionsgate.
Saldana, who made her animation voice acting debut as Maria in The Book of Life, joins previously announced cast members Kristin Chenoweth, Emily Blunt, Taye Diggs, Liev Schreiber, Sia, Uzo Aduba and Michael Peña — as well as the familiar voices of the “Mane 6” from the smash-hit Discovery Family series My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic: Andrea Libman, Tara Strong, Ashleigh Ball, Tabitha St Germain and Cathy Weseluck.
Also revealed today is a new official film logo, which offers fans their first glimpse at the movie versions of the “Mane 6”: (L-R) Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle and Spike the dragon, Rainbow Dash, Applejack and Rarity.
