German indie production house Caligari Films has appointed Team Entertainment to represent the first and second seasons of its charming CG-animated preschool series Coconut The Little Dragon — as well as its licensing program — in Italy.
Based on the popular book series by German author Ingo Siegner, the adventures of the little orange dragon have been published in more than 22 countries and inspired hundreds of licensed products. With top market shares, the TV series builds on the success of the first Coconut feature film (also produced by Caligari) which attracted more than 1 million moviegoers in German-speaking categories.
Caligari Films is currently working on a second Coconut feature outing. Also on the current slate is a second TV season and first feature film of popular kids’ brand Capt’n Sharky — the movie is due in 2018.
