Registration is now open for the 2017 VIEW Conference (www.viewconference.it) — Italy’s premiere computer graphics, digital media and games confab. The 18th edition will take place October 23-27 in Torino, welcoming top industry pros including keynote speakers Rob Pardo (World of Warcraft designer), and Bonfire Studios CEO / Baobab Studios Chief Creative Director Eric Darnell (co-director/writer, Madagascar films).
Organizers have also opened submissions for the competitive VIEW Awards, celebrating the best in animation and video games with four competitive categories: Best Short (short film or music video, student or professional), Social Contest (short clip or commercial with social theme), Game Contest, and ItalianMix (animated, experimental or documentary shorts by Italian artists). Submit here by September 15, 2017.
The initial slate of VIEW Conference speakers includes:
