After charming family audiences in Europe and, more recently, here in the US, the beautifully animated original fable Mune: Guardian of the Moon has arrived on DVD and Digital Download this week. From the producers behind The Little Prince, Mune is an Annecy Cristal-nominated European gem set in a land far away, where the sun and moon only shine thanks to heroic Guardians who guide them across the sky. When an unlikely little creature named Mune is chosen as the new Guardian of the Moon, a series of unfortunate events results in the sun falling into the hands of a disgraced former Guardian out for revenge. Teaming up with Sohone, the swaggering new Guardian of the Sun; and Glim, a fragile yet witty girl made of wax; Mune embarks on a magnificent adventure to rescue the Sun and save their world.
The new English-language voice dub features Ed Helms (The Hangover), Patton Oswalt (Ratatouille) Christian Slater (Mr Robot) and Rob Lowe (Parks and Recreation).
The DVD release includes both English and French audio and subtitle options, the theatrical trailer, and two featurettes: The Making of Mune and The Art of Mune.
