Berlinale: Wizart Conjures New Poster for ‘Sheep & Wolves’ Sequel

Russian animation studio Wizart has revealed a new poster for its upcoming sequel to internationally successful animated feature Sheep & Wolves at the Berlin International Film Festival. Titled Sheep & Wolves: Pig Deal, the flick is set to premiere in fall 2018, though the studio hopes to have an early market screening during the Marché du Film at Cannes in May.

The poster promises even more animal antics in this next comedy-adventure installment, with a trio of hungry wolves and a couple of well-coiffed sheep looking on as an adorable little pig pops out of a magic hat, much to the conjurer’s surprise! Per the official synopsis:

The united town of sheep and wolves lives a peaceful and quiet life until two unexpected guests turn up — a polar fox and a tiny ewe. No one ever expected them to bring a deadly danger, which can be overcome only if they work together. Only teamwork can solve big problems and deal with serious challenges — as unity is what makes us stronger.

The sequel is co-written by Robert Lence, who has been a key creative contributor to some of the biggest animated hits, including Beauty and the Beast, Toy Story and Shrek.

The first Sheep & Wolves premiered in April 2016, and related the story of a carefree wolf named Grey whose life is turned upside down when he is magically transformed into a ram one day. The film was released across international markets including Italy, Poland, Korea and Bulgaria, and was featured in a number of film festivals. It won the Grand Prix at the Seoul Guro Int’l Kids Film Festival, and a special prize at the Catalina Film Festival.
