‘BoJack Horseman’ S5 Trailer & Key Art Hits Red Carpet

“You say you want to get better, and you don’t know how…”

Fans of one of the most compelling adult animated series around are chomping at the bit, waiting for the Season 5 premiere of Raphael Bob-Waksberg’s black comedy BoJack Horseman — the global launch is set for September 14 on Netflix. So close, you can taste it! The streaming giant has dropped the “mane” season trailer, and it promises a hilarious/emotionally scathing ride along with BoJack back to the top of the “Hollywoo” manure heap, if he can keep his ish together.

From creator Bob-Waksberg:

“All right, season five of BoJack Horseman, here we go. Has it really been five seasons? Where does the time go, huh? Anyway, this season finds BoJack starring in a new TV show called Philbert, playing a character with disturbing parallels to BoJack’s real life, echoes that force BoJack to confront himself and his past in ways large and small, but the main thing that happens this season is Diane gets a haircut. We spent a lot of time figuring out the haircut — the style, the volume, the bounce, the sheen — and we’re really proud of the way it came out. We really think people are going to like this new season, and Diane’s new haircut!”

Will Arnett stars as the voice of BoJack, with Amy Sedaris as Princess Carolyn, Alison Brie as Diane, Paul F. Tompkins as Mr. Peanutbutter and Aaron Paul as Todd. Recurring characters are also voiced by comedy A-listers Patton Oswalt, Kristen Schaal, J.K. Simmons, Maria Bamford, Wyatt Cenac and others.

Bob-Waksberg exec produces with Steven A. Cohen and Noel Bright; actors Arnett and Paul also serve as exec producers. The series was designed by artist Lisa Hanawalt and is animated by LA-based ShadowMachine. BoJack Horseman is produced by The Tornante Company. The Netflix Original Series has won two Critics Choice TV Awards and two Writers Guild Awards (out of five nominations).
