GLAS Animation Festival has unveiled the poster for this 2019 edition of the event, which will take place in Berkeley, Calif, March 21-24. The eye-catching poster was created by Manshen Lo, a visual artist based in London. Her approach to drawing has roots in East Asia, whilst taking influence from comic art, cinematography and the ligne-claire style. Combining realistic line work with minimalistic compositions, she investigates the subtle tension between humans and urban space in contemporary life.
The deadline to submit your films to the festival is Nov. 30th. GLAS accepts all types of animated short films including Narrative Shorts, Non-Narrative/Experimental Shorts, Student Shorts, Commissioned Shorts, and Feature Films.
Passes for the festival are currently available. GLAS offers special discounts for students and ASIFA members. You can find out more about the event here.
