In new footage from anime-inspired new mecha action series gen:LOCK, leader of “the Vanguard” Colonel Marin (voiced by Monica Riel) narrates the high-stakes war that serves as backdrop for story: “We did not seek this conflict, but we will rise to meet it. The Vanguard will do everything we can to protect those who put their trust in us. Be strong and we will get through this…for the people.”
gen:LOCK premieres January 26, 2019, exclusively on Rooster Teeth. The series voice stars Michael B. Jordan, Dakota Fanning, Maisie Williams and David Tennant.
Synopsis: Earth’s last free society is on the losing side of a global war, and recruits a diverse team of young pilots to control the next generation of giant, weaponized robot bodies known as mecha. These daring recruits will find, however, that their newfound abilities come at no small cost.
