The International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood, announced its key dates for the 47th Annie Awards. The ceremony set for Saturday, January 25, 2020 at UCLA’s Royce Hall.
“We try to set the Annie Awards early in the award season so that the media and other award ceremonies have a window into how our industry members view what we have produced in the past year,” said Frank Gladstone, ASIFA-Hollywood’s executive director. “We think it is important to have a public voice in celebrating and honoring our peers and what we work so hard to create.”
Thursday, August 1, 2019 – Call for Entries, Call for Judges and the ASIFA Annual Membership Drive Commences;
Friday, November 1, 2019 – 5 p.m. Deadline for Annie Award submissions;
Monday, December 2, 2019 – 9 a.m. Nominations Announced;
Sunday, December 15, 2019 – 5 p.m. Deadline for Annie Ballot & Ceremony materials, Deadline for Advertising Reservations, and Deadline to become an Annie Awards Sponsor; 11:59:59 p.m. Membership Drive Deadline;
Monday December 23, 2019 by 11:59 p.m. – Deadline to receive Sponsor Advertising Artwork;
Monday, December 30, 2019 – Deadline for delivery of all “For Your Consideration” materials to ASIFA-Hollywood membership;
Wednesday, January 1, 2020 – Online Balloting Begins;
Sunday, January 12, 2020 – 1:59:59 p.m. Deadline to Cast Annie Awards Ballots; and
Saturday, January 25, 2020 – 47th Annual Annie Awards.

Created in 1972 by veteran voice talent June Foray, the Annie Awards have grown in scope and stature for over the past four decades. The event honors overall excellence as well as individual achievement in 36 categories, including Best Animated Feature, Best Animated Feature-Independent, Special Productions, Commercials, Short Subjects, Student Films and Outstanding Individual Achievements, as well as the honorary Juried Awards.
