Abidjan-based animation house Afrika Toon is readying the second season of Little Pokou (La Petite Pokou), continuing the adventures of a young girl whose story is inspired by that of 18th century Ashanti princess Abla Pokou, who became Queen and founder of the Baoule people in the region now known as Ivory Coast.
Presenting a true mirror of African tradition, Season 2 will take young viewers into the heart of the ancient Ashanti kingdom to discover its teachings about important values and community life through characters like The High Priestess, Yiblô and Kongouê Bian.
Produced with the participation of TV5 Monde, Little Pokou aims to entertain family audiences while inviting them to discover Akan culture and African traditions.
