Netflix released today the trailer and key art for the upcoming animated holiday short, Robin Robin, which will debut on the service on November 24. The 30-minute stop-motion adventure is produced for Netflix by Academy Award-winning studio, Aardman (Bristol, U.K.) and stars voice cast Bronte Carmichael (Christopher Robin), Adeel Akhtar (Enola Holmes), Golden Globe winner Gillian Anderson (The Crown) and Oscar nominee Richard E. Grant (Can You Ever Forgive Me?).
When her egg fortuitously rolls into a rubbish dump, Robin is raised by a loving family of burglar mice. As she grows up, her differences become more apparent. Robin sets off on the heist to end all heists to prove to her family that she can be a really good mouse – but ends up discovering who she really is.
Carmicheal voices Robin, Akhtar plays Dad Mouse, Anderson voices Cat and Grant voices Magpie. Robin Robin is created and directed by Dan Ojari (Slow Derek) and Mikey Please (BAFTA winner for The Eagleman Stag), who also wrote the short with Sam Morrison. Produced by Helen Argo (Tate Movie Project, Wallace & Gromit’s Musical Marvels), executive produced by Sarah Cox (Tate Movie Project and BAFTA-nominated Heavy Pockets). The short features music and songs by The Bookshop Band.
