Aaron Lyle has been named the new academic director of media arts and animation at The Art Institute of California, Los Angeles.
Prior to joining the Art Institute, Lyle worked as a project manager at Super Color, in the post-production and design dept. at Presentation Media and oversaw digital imaging for Prolab. Lyle holds a B.A. in film and photography from Ithaca College, New York. His career also includes stints at PDI (where he worked on movies such as Cliffhanger and T2), Londons Four Corners Film Workshop and freelance work on TV series such as Out All Night, Crimson Tide and Foto Novelas.
While still at Super Color, Lyle began his teaching career at Learning Tree University, where he taught classes in animation, digital visual effects, motion graphics, and design. In 1999, Aaron left his Super Color to open his own design studio, Incite. The same year, he joined The Art Institute of California, Los Angeles, as a part-time faculty member in the animation program.
