DreamWorks’ ‘Fright Krewe’ Renewed for Season 2

Hulu and Peacock will be resurrecting the new horror-themed animated adventure Fright Krewe for a second season, expected to debut sometime in 2024. Produced by DreamWorks Animation, the first 10-episode season dropped on both platforms on October 2.

Created by Eli Roth (Hostel film franchise, Hemlock Grove) and James Frey (American Gothic, Queen & Slim, Alpha Betas), the series is set in New Orleans, where the ancient prophecy of a Voodoo Queen sets a group of misfits teens on the quest to save their city from a terrible demonic threat.

The series voice stars Sydney Mikayla as Soleil, Tim Johnson Jr. as Maybe, Grace Lu as Missy, Chester Rushing as Stanley, Terrence Little Gardenhigh as Pat and Jacques Colimon as Belial. The recurring cast for S1 includes Vanessa Hudgens, Josh Richards, X Mayo, Rob Paulsen, David Kaye, JoNell Kennedy, Melanie Laurent as Fiona Bunrady, Chris Jai Alex, Reggie Watkins, Cherise Boothe, Keston John, Grey Delisle and Krizia Bajos.

Roth and Frey are executive producers alongside Joanna Lewis and Kristine Songco; co-executive producers are Oscar-nominated animator Shane Acker (9, Crusoe) and Mitchell Smith.
