Trailer: First Original Pixar Series ‘Win or Lose’ Hits Disney+ in December

Fans are getting warmed up for a whole different ball game later this year, when Disney+ premieres Win or Lose — the first ever long-form, original series created by Pixar Animation Studios. Originally slated for 2023, the CG series is now set to premiere on December 6 and dropped the official trailer this week.

Synopsis: The show follows the Pickles, a co-ed middle school softball team, in the week leading up to their championship game. Each episode takes place that same week, highlighting the perspective of a different main character — players, their parents, the umpire — each reflected in a unique visual style.

The voice cast includes Will Forte as Coach Dan, Izaac Wang (Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai), Ian Chen (Fresh Off the Boat), Jo Firestone (Teenage Euthanasia), Milan (The Wonder Years [2021]), Josh Thomson (Young Rock), Erin Keif (Hello from the Magic Tavern) and Rosie Foss.

The series is directed and executive produced by Carrie Hobson (assoc. EP, Luca; story artist, Elemental, Toy Story 4) and Michael Yates (story artist, Soul; storyboard artist, Toy Story 4, Cars 3), who created the award-winning short The Legend of the Flying Tomato at Ringling College of Art and Design. David Lally is the producer.
