Teaser: Animotion Launches New ‘Detective Finnick’ Animated Series

Animotion Media Group (U.A.E.) is introducing Detective Finnick, a new 3D-animated TV series, as an exclusive MIPCOM premiere. The show follows up on the success of the Finnick feature film, which screened in theaters of 50-plus countries and was picked up by platforms including Hulu, Prime Video, Vudu, beIN and Etisalat.

Animation is currently developing two seasons of the new series as well as a second feature film set in the worlds of “finns.”

Series synopsis: The seemingly quiet and calm town of Berg is full of secrets and mysteries. Absolutely unexplainable incidents constantly occur in it. Suddenly all clocks stop working, or all the streets get filled with strange micro-dogs. Fortunately, the town is being watched by its invisible keepers — finns. They have the ability to see and hear everything that happens in it.

If something mysterious occurs, the finns know exactly who to ask for help: The legendary savior of Berg, Detective Finnick, will come to the rescue, mastering his very own “trial and error” method. Detective Finnick is aided by his motley team of finns. “Motley” not only because each one has a different color of fur, but also because each of them knows how to do something better than the others.

Finnick is a rookie detective. He is full of unexpected and often paradoxical theories, not always does he make correct decisions but is ready to admit his mistakes and find a solution in every crisis.

Production is already underway for the second season, consisting of 26 episodes (11 minutes each), and is now open for broadcasting opportunities.

The series runtime has been expanded from seven minutes in Season 1 to 11 minutes in Season 2 to implement more complicated detective plots that would attract the target audiences of six- to 10-year olds.
