Pataki, Voice of George Liquor, Dies

Michael Pataki, a veteran character actor who provided the voice for George Liquor on the classic Ren & Stimpy Show, died of cancer April 15 in North Hollywood. He was 72.

Through a long career, Pataki lent his voice to a number of animated series, including Dexter’s Laboratory, Batman: The Animated Series and Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures.

Most of his career was spent working as a journeyman actor on now-classic TV series ranging from The Twilight Zone and Bonanza to Kung Fu, Happy Days and The Fall Guy.

He also made sci-fi history by being the first actor to speak Klingon on the original Star Trek series, playing Korax in the classic episode ‘The Trouble with Tribbles.’

His film credits include Airport ’77 and Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins.
