Attention budding animators! Submit your animated short that reflects the Latino culture and you could win a $3,000 scholarship – all courtesy of Animation Magazine and BabyFirst Americas, the new channel designed expressly for families with growing children that airs in cities across the country on Comcast Cable. BabyFirst Americas’ panel of judges will be reviewing all submissions and judging them based on the entertainment and educational value for the 0-4 market.
As a leader in multicultural programming, the network is also looking for content that reflects or embodies the Latino culture.
“We realize there is a huge amount of talent throughout the country, and especially among young people. This contest is our way of not only tapping into that creative brilliance, but also to give back to the Latino community in a very real way,” said Mario Solis-Marich, VP of programming BabyFirst Americas. “We’re excited to take a look at what the animators have to offer.”
The winners of the BabyFirst Americas “Next Generation Animators” Contest will be announced on October 25, 2012. Interested animators are asked to email Mario Solis Marich at
MSolis@babyfirstamericas.com to request the official rules and form.
