It’s just a Cartoon Network-y kind of day! The comedy cabler has revealed its line-up of events for popular animated and live-action fare on CN and late-night block Adult Swim for the Comic-Con International confab in San Diego next month! Meet the creators, producers and talents behind your favorite shows at panels, fan events and signings taking place throughout the ‘Con! (And stay tuned for details about a brand new Adventure Time event set to take place in San Diego’s downtown!)
CARTOON NETWORK HIGHLIGHTS:
Thursday, July 12 – Meet the crew and get a sneak peek at new series DreamWorks Dragons: Riders of Berk, based on the hit film How to Train Your Dragon and continuing the adventures of Hiccup, Toothless and their pals as they unlock new dragon training secrets, explore wild frontiers and discover new dragon species (Room 6A).
Down the hall, you can get a behind-the-scenes look at Warner Bros. Animation’s MAD with producers Kevin Shinick and Mark Marek, and WBA’s SVP of series & alternative animation Peter Girardi (Room 6DE).
Friday, July 13 – Series creator Dan Boedigheimer, voice actor Toby Turner and others will offer a peak behind the peel of new web hit turned TV series The Annoying Orange (Room 6A).
You can also bask in the glory of Regular Show creator JG Quintel’s comedic genius (and luscious, flowing locks) as he’s joined by voicers Bill Salyers (Rigby), Sam Marin (Bendon, Pops, Muscle Man) and others for a revelatory discussion of the smash show—songs, sneaks and surprises are promised! Saturday, July 14 – WHAT TIME IS IT?! It’s time for a killer Adventure Time panel, featuring creator Pendleton Ward, Jeremy Shada (voice of Finn), Tom Kenny (Ice King) and others. Join the eccentric toonsters for singing, live readings, lots of exclusive clips and other mathematical surprises (Room 6A).
If sci-fi is more your thing, check out the action-packed Star Wars: The Clone Wars Onto Season Five panel which will explore the upcoming season with new clips, insights and discussion from supervising director Dave Filoni and head writer Matt Michnovetz, moderated by Star Wars author Pablo Hidalgo (Room 6DE).
Sunday, July 15 – Meet the stars of the live-action/animation hybrid series Level Up as exec producer Peter Murrieta leads stars Gaelan Connell, Connor del Rio, Jessie T. Usher, Aimee Carrero and Lonny Ross, as well fellow EPs David Schneiderman and Derek Guiley, in a panel discussion of the Neverfail clan’s upcoming adventures in the real world and the webisphere! (Room 6BCF).
Learn more about the channel’s action/comedy superhero block DC Nation at a screening and Q&A that will cover Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Young Justice and upcoming shows Beware The Batman and Teen Titans Go! Animation producers Glen Murakami, Mitch Watson, Michael Jelenic, Aaron Horvath and Jeff Prezenkowski, director of series & shorts at WBA, will attend (Room 6BCF).

Friday, July 13 – Representatives of old favorites and brand new shows will be in attendance at the Adult Swim Panel Block, taking place at the Hilton San Diego Beachfront (next to the convention center) in the Indigo Ballroom, Level 2.
The Venture Bros.: Show creators Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer will be joined by James Urbaniak (voice of Dr. Venture) to discuss the original series and answer fan questions.
Aqua Something You Know Whatever / Squidbillies: Two of the block’s most irreverent toons team up under the fatherly guidance of creators Dave Willis, Jim Fortier and Matt Maiellaro for behind the scenes discussions, new footage and Q&A fun-times.
Robot Chicken / Robot Chicken DC Comics Special: Creators/exec producers Seth Gren and Matthew Senreich will be joined by co-head writer/EP Tom Root, actor/writer Breckin Meyer and writer Matthew Beans to discuss the Emmy-winning series with a sneak peek and panel discussion moderated by VP of production for Adult Swim Keith Crofford. DC Entertainment chief creative officer Geoff Johns will also be on hand with the inside scoop on the upcoming Robot Chicken DC Comics Special.
Black Dynamite: Learn more about the new funkalicious, butt-kicking toon based on the 2009 live-action feature at this panel featuring exec producer Carl Jones (The Boondocks), creator/star Michael Jai White (The Dark Knight, Why Did I Get Married?), Tommy Davidson (In Living Color), Kym Whitley (The Cleveland Show, Brian McKnight Show), Byron Minns (Mongo Wrestling Alliance), Debra Wilson (MadTV), Orlando Jones (Rules of Engagement) and Cedric Yarbrough (The Boondocks).
