Russia’s TNT and New Zealand’s Channel Four are the most-recent terrestrial broadcasters to pick up Nickelodeon’s new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.
TNT started airing all 26 episodes of season 1 this week, stripped at 9:30 a.m. weekdays with an additional regional broadcast Saturdays at 9 a.m. and repeats on Sundays.
Channel Four, owned by Mediaworks, will air season 1 starting this month.
The series is the most-recent incarnation of the long-lived action franchise, which sprang from a parody comic book created and self-published in 1984 by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird.
The series has been a global hit for Nick since its launch last fall, with deals in place for Brazil, Nicaragua, Uruguay, Australia, Philippines, Singapore, the Middle East, Lithuania, Ukraine, Portugal and Spain.
