The new animated comedy-adventure Xiaolin Showdown premiered on Saturday, November 8 at 9:30 a.m. (ET), leading Kids WB! to significant week-to-week gains among target kids demographics and a No. 1 finish among all Saturday morning competition.
The networks Saturday morning toon block saw an extraordinary triple-digit spike in viewership among kids 2-5 (3.3/11, +136%/+120%), boys 2-5 (4.1/13, +116%/+63%) and girls 2-5 (2.5/9, +213%/+200%). Leading the way, Xaiolin Showdown ranked among the top 10 overall programs for the morning, coming in at No. 5 with boys 6-11, No. 4 with tweens 9-14 and No. 3 with male tweens 9-14. Among the broadcast competition, it also ranked No. 3 with boys 2-11, No. 4 with kids 2-11 and No. 6 among kids 6-11.
Kids’ WB! dominated all Saturday morning competition, including cable, in the key demographics of boys 6-11, tweens 9-14 and male tweens 9-14. The network also led the broadcast competition in kids 2-11, kids 6-11, boys 2-11, girls 2-11 and girls 6-11. Among kids 2-11, the network outperformed ABC Kids, Fox Box, CBS and NBC. It also outranked Fox Box, ABC Kids, CBS and NBC among kids 6-11.
Other top performers for Kids WB! include Pokémon: Advanced, which took the No.1 spot for the morning among all competition in boys 6-11, boys 2-11, tweens 9-14 and male tweens 9-14. It also ranked No. 1 among the broadcast competition in kids 2-11 and kids 6-11.
Yu-Gi-Oh!: Enter the Shadow Realm captured the No. 2 overall program spot for the morning in boys 6-11, tweens 9-14 and male tweens 9-14. Jackie Chan Adventures was close behind with a No. 3 finish among tweens 9-14. The breakout anime-style hit Teen Titans also made a good showing as the mornings No. 4 pick of boys 6-11. It also tied ¡Mucha Lucha! for the No. 6 spot with male tweens.
